Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale (A.A.A.S.) was the first of the Armenian welfare organizations to be established in France.
Back in 1890, a group of Armenian businessmen living in France decided to help the Armenian students coming to Europe to further and complete their education.
At first, the organization was called Société de Bienfaisance des Arméniens de Paris, among Armenians it was well known as “Akhkadakhnam”.
In 1954,it’s name was changed to Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale (A.A.A.S.) .
