Round table discussion

On November 29, 2017 Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale (France) and the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development organized a round table discussion within the framework of the project “Improvement of services provided to children with behavioural and social problems”.

The developments within the project as well as the perspectives dedicated to the improvement of services for the children with behavioural problems and the transformation of the Republican Educational Complex # 1 were presented to the stakeholders.

The project is funded by Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale (France) and co-funded by Saint Sarkis Charity Trust.

Mr. Jonathan Lacôte, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia,  also took part in the round table.

“Return to sources” project September Commission

On September 6, during the Commission held at the French Embassy 6 business projects were approved that fulfilled the long list of small business projects created within the framework of the AF4SD “Return to Sources” project.

Resource and Rehabilitation Centre Project Discussion

On September 08, 2017 the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development organised a discussion on outcomes of the project “Improvement of services provided to children with behavioural and social problems”

During the event, the experts of the project presented the participants the “Transformation model of the Republican Educational Complex N°1 into a Resource and Rehabilitation Centre”.
The project is co-funded by Saint Sarkis Charity Trust and Association Armenienne d’Aide Sociale.

A seminar on the role of interpersonal relationships

Within the framework of the project “Improvement of services provided to children with behavioral and social problems”, a seminar was organized on June 28th on the topic “The role of interpersonal relationships and their meaning at work, and within the family and society”.

The seminar was conducted by L. Mardoyan, the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development’s psychologist, and implemented by psychologists of the Republic Educational Complex #1, V. Avetisyan, I. Baghdasaryan and K. Chilingaryan.

“Le Coq Français” contest awarding ceremony

Today at Paris hotel Yerevan the awarding ceremony of “Le Coq Français” French language contest was held.
The contest was realized within the framework of “Francophonie month in Armenia” project. The project was carried out under the auspices of Association Armenienne D’Aide Sociale.
The aim of the project was to promote the expansion of the French language in Armenia among the pupils.
We congratulate all the participants and award winners. We are proud of brilliant knowledge of our pupils.

Scholarships to French University students

Every year Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale grants scholarships to the students of French University in Armenia according to their progress and social difficulties. It allows the students to continue their education in the University.

Since 2004 the Association and French University have been cooperating in the framework of the project “Support to the students of French University” which aims to develop the French language in Armenia and promote the education of French speaking youth.
On March 30 the rector of the French University in Armenia, Professor Jean-Marc Lavest welcomed the president of Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale Alain Touhadian at the university. This time Mr. Touhadian handed the scholarship certificates to 10 students of the university. The students thanked the association and the president for the support. Mr. Touhadian congratulated all the students expressing his hope that they will become good professionals worthy to their university.

Translation contest among students

The Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale and the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development announced a translation contest.

The contest took place on April 5th 2017 at the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development. The finalists were awarded with certificates and prizes.

In order to participate, it was required to:

– Be a registered student in a public or private university in the RA,

-Send the translation of the text published on the AF4SD website and Facebook page at concours@af4sd.org before March 30th.

Selected students were contacted by the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development during the week following the deadline of the call for application.
