Plastic Art contest

Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale and the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development announce a plastic art contest titled “The breath of France in Armenia”.
All the schoolchildren (grades IV-XII) of Yerevan schools can take part in it. The works can be submitted by April 5.
The results of the contest will be summarized during the “Magic of Francophonie” festival to be held at Lovers Park on April 13.

Participants will have many surprises. The participation is free.

Translation contest

On the occasion of the Francophonie month, the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development and Association Arménienne d’Aide Sociale are pleased to announce a translation contest that will take place on April 5, 2019.
For participation, it is necessary
 to be a student enrolled in a public or private university of the RA

Free French language courses for pupils

Today AF4SD finished free French language courses. We thank all our bright pupils for their active participation.

During 2-month free courses about 10 pupils improved their skills in the French language.

Classroom after Charles Aznavour at Hrazdan N 11 school

Classroom after Charles Aznavour opened at Hrazdan N 11 school which is planned for the advanced study of the French language.

The project was implemented by the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development in cooperation with Stepan Gishyan Charitable Foundation.

The pupils will have the opportunity to study French per 2 hours during all the working days of the week. Yet, those who would like to deepen their knowledge of French will be able to take part in additional courses again free of charge. The classroom is equipped with modern technologies and rich French library.

Project kick off

The Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development, Association Arménienne D’Aide Sociale together with Saint Sarkis Charity Trust kick off a new project “The transformation of the Special Educational Complex into Resource Center”.

The goals of the project are:
– To promote the improvement of the present conditions of the children with social and behavioural problems through the elaboration and introduction of “Resource Center” transformation plan,
– To promote the integration of risky children into society by elaborating the methodology of preventive measures at public schools and individual assistance.

Within the framework of the project the AF4SD closely cooperates with the RA Ministry of Science and Education.

Duration: 12 months

The project will be implemented at Yerevan N 1 special educational complex.

“Return to sources” project October Commission

On October 17, during the Commission held at the French Embassy 7 business projects were approved. These projects along with the previous successfully completed projects came to fulfill the long list of small business projects created within the framework of the AF4SD “Return to Sources” project.

FADF meeting with Quebec government delegation representatives

On October 12, within the framework of the XVII Francophonie Summit, the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development had the pleasure to welcome the Government of Quebec with the head of Mr. Frederic Dufour. At the meeting Mrs. Maud-Andree Lefebvre, Director of Francophonie and International Solidarity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Stephane Carrier, Deputy Director General of LOGIQ, Mrs. Marlie Bélanger, International Affairs Advisor and Wüna, graffiti artist participated.

It was a great opportunity to discover the works of the Quebec artist Wüna, 2 of her paintings were generously donated to the Armenian Fund for Sustainable Development and N° 56 school of Yerevan.

2-nd Meeting of Return and Reintegration Forum

On July 24 at the Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development, the second meeting of Return and Reintegration Forum took place.

In his welcome speech Mr. Ghazaryan, Head of Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development signified the main reintegration issues of the RA returning citizens by stating that reintegration procedure can be best organized within the activities of the project having one general concept that will ensure a relevant approach for the solution of issues of each group returned to Armenia.

According to the agenda of the meeting the participating organizations presented the reintegration projects implemented by them and statistics on their outcomes.

The participants among which there were representatives from local, international and State structures discussed the projects and the existing main issues in the field, made experience exchange as well as defined the priorities of the next forum meeeting and actions to be done.

Meeting with the Head of Migration Service

Today at the FADF premises Mr. Alain TOUHADIAN had a meeting with Mr. Armen GHAZARYAN, Head of Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of the RA.

At the meeting ongoing migration projects and new vision of cooperation were touched upon.
